Important Announcement regarding Community College Participation:
The Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges in conjunction with the CCC/IOU Energy Efficiency Partnership is pleased to announce a new annual award program recognizing exemplars in energy and sustainability in the Community College system. The objective of the Board of Governors Energy & Sustainability Award Program is to highlight and reward excellence in energy efficiency and sustainability by Community College Districts, and to help motivate others to follow suit. Awards will be presented on an annual basis in order to promote the ongoing efforts of Community Colleges on the path toward sustainability. The awards will be presented at the BOG meeting in May. As a result, the CCC’s have choosen not to participate in the 2012 Higher Education Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Best Practices Awards competition presented at CHESC.
